Our Home {Great Room}

This is the final spot to share from our home, the great room or family room, or gathering room...so many names it can be called. Hard to believe that we have been in this house for 3 years now...I'm starting to get the itch for the next one now!!

 

I wanted to share this image since it shows my fig in all of it's glory...now it is a sad twig with 11 leafs on 4 out of the 6 branches. 

 

And this is a favorite spot in our home, the day bed. Perfect for afternoon naps or watching the wildlife outside.

Our Home {Foyer & Dining Room}

{Foyer}

WE went with double iron doors for our entrance which I am so happy with, they lead guest right into our sunken foyer that has vein cut limestone tile laid in a chevron pattern. The two risers lead you to the office, main hallway, and dining room, keeping the main section of our home private and concealed...great for those days when people pop over and my boys have decided to take every toy out.

This is a room that we actually use a lot, at least a few times a month. The built-in hutch is a feature that I adore and is stuffed to the brim...I might have an addiction of serving plates, bowls, plates, & vases, this is the perfect spot to display and store all of those items. 

Our butlers pantry acts as the pass through from the kitchen, we put in an ice maker and keep all of our stapled liquors here for when we are entertaining.  I decided to keep the cabinets and materials the same as the kitchen to keep it light and airy...and I just love my marble, so I had to incorporate it.
