Our trip down to DFW was fantastic!! Amazing weather and some fabulous finds while out shopping, oh, and yes, one too many margaritas. It was just what we needed to get revved up for a very busy and hectic time before we head down to the cabin this summer. While we were there we went for a drive to see some of the new construction and I had to drive past 'my house' in Colleyville...
It has been a favorite of mine since it was under construction a few years back. It is stunning but not over the top like so many homes down in that area. If you are wondering what an over the top home looks like down there take a gander and let me introduce you to two examples. First the 'Gothic/Church Estate'...
Second the 'Over the top Castle' Estate...
Now the home above is way too large for the 1/2 acre lot in my opinion but it did have wonderful brick detailing seen below. That is one detail that most of the homes in that area embrace and do well...
I am sure I would be drawn more towards these homes if there was some simple editing done and if they were on land, as in a few acres as a minimum...but that may just be me. I would rather have a home that peaks through the tress from the street than BAM in your face look at where I live. I like a bit of the unknown you could say. What are your thoughts, a bit too much or just up your alley? Mel xo
