Here are a few of the final pre-occupancy images from our latest spec home...which sold prior to completion and broke a price record for the NW community of Hillhurt...HOLLA!
{Great Room}
Rather than taking the cabinetry to the top of the 10' ceiling I decided to go with custom stained alder lowers and had our finishers finish it off with a shaker style lacquered panel above. I find a lot of times wall to wall and floor to ceiling built-ins can be over powering and somewhat daunting to style.
It's all in the details for this simple fireplace surround with custom cove molding that was mimicked above where the TV is placed.
{Railing}
Keeping in line with my two toned theme throughout this home I went with a simple lacquered spindle, thick alder handrail, and custom tapered shaker style post with oversize balls...there is a ball thing going on in this home, you'll see more of that soon.
{Upper Hall}
Rather than waling up the stairs to the second level and seeing just another hall I decided to add a custom built-in. The perfect solution for this home was a built-in linen cabinet since there is no linen closet on the upper level. This allows for tons of storage as well as a nice focal point and a great area for a bit of display. I will admit though, this caused a huge argument with the hubs, when he saw this he might have flipped his lid...majorly...but sometimes I go with my gut and I'm so happy I did.
I'll share more later in the week, including the stunning master bath and kitchen. Mel xo
