One of my Internet clients Lindsay & her husband Lars have been in the process of renovating their home in the Dallas area for almost a year now. We have been tackling every area room by room, it has been a complete overhaul with awesome results. Here is the guest bathroom that they recently finished. I wanted to focus on this one since it was completed on a budget with great results.
Here they removed the old wainscoting and installed a white subway tile up the wall, great for a bathroom since it is easy to clean and more durable than plane drywall. And check out the new fun floor...only $60! And notice what we used to the 'baseboards', a black tile to pull it all together, how fun is that?! New bath hardware and a couple of simple frames finish it off.
Oh the before vanity and that countertop...what were people thinking 'back in the day'?!?! Here they installed a new vanity that we found, it came compleate with the sink and granite vanity top for $500. A new mirror for $60 and lighting for $75 helps update the space with a more modern feel.
Lindsay & Lars had the tub re-surfaced for $200 and replaced all of the 4x4 tiles with the same subway tiles that we used for the wainscoting on the walls. To incorporate the black & white theme into this area they installed 2 rows of black tile on the shower walls, easy way to add some life to a normally plane white space.
Total cost of the entire renovation was $2,250, that price includes all labor and materials. Lindsay & Lars, you guys did a great job and it was fun to work with the two of you on this room...now lets tackle that master bathroom! Mel xo
