Wainscoting how I love the...

My name is Melissa and I am a wainscoting addict. I LOVE it. If I had my way I would have it in our mud room, laundry room, hallways, up the stairs, powder room, dining room, etc. The main reason, I just think it is lovely. The practical reason, my 2 little boys seem to love walls and touching them with sticky fingers and hot wheels, having a more durable material rather than drywall from 42" down would make it so much easier to maintain!

Here are a few beautiful images that I wanted to share with all of you that I use for inspiration and day dreaming.

Adding a bit of class and durability to a mud room, simple shaker style wainscoting pictured below. In this image they also considered something often overlooked in a mud room, a beautiful light.

This image is just stunning, beautiful bead board paneling was used in the forefront room and through the hallway it looks as if it is cladding to the ceiling in a shaker style. The hanging fixtures for the hallway make this a perfect entrance area.

Another stunning hallway image with a beautiful hanging fixture. The dark ceiling adds so much to this space, and the bead board wainscoting that has a glaze is the icing on the cake.

The detail in this dining room wainscoting is just beautiful. The height is perfect for the wall height, the corbels supporting the plate rail, the added molding used to create the double panel detail in each section. All in all a beautiful addition to the room.

This bathroom is gorgeous!!! Tile wainscoting with paneling above in a contrasting color, the timber detail above the built-in medicine cabinets...but most of all the sink! I give this a 10 out of 10.

What a beautiful way to frame a claw foot tub. Shaker style wainscoting and perfectly placed hooks and wall sconces above.

And finally a beautiful nursery, how this image makes we want another baby to love and snuggle with.
